Well, I'm going to bow out the day with around 2,800.  Time to hit the gym, then do some homework.

Excluding notes to myself for future revisions, my 1-day is 1837.

Grr. Word has once again proven itself to be an essence of evil by bulleteining my notes to myself without my say-so.

I can honestly say that word has never ever bulleted line items for me without me telling it to. How does that work?

1457.

I thought I'd play along (torture that it is, NNWM is just so fun!)  Technically, I'm not gunning for 50K 'cause I just don't have time.  My real goal is to get mostly through chapter eight.  I'm halfway through four as of yesterday.

ok, i have day 1 counts up. I'm not doing any more day 1 counts. Just put it in day 2 counts and make it look like you had an impressive, if late, start.

JP is doing fricking amazing, might I add, being almost 20% done on the second day. I'm impressed.

You can look at the numbers here.

incidentally, Sprig, while I'm not attached to formatting or appearance, those are the types of numbers I want it to display.

Thanks for leaving up last year's calendar--it was good to see what I accomplished last year.

yeah, old calendar is at the same address, except a 2003 on the end instead of 2004. We have a LOT of participants this year. Keep it up folks.

get away from the TV. Listen to CDs instead of radio. Go to a place you can be by yourself, and lock cnn and any other news site you were going to with a gobledy password. IE let's you do that pretty easy, you just put the site on a blocked list  and password protect the parental controls. You can make a password you can't easily recreate by banging random keys into notepad, CUTTING (not copying) them and pasting them into the password field. There's a KB article at microsoft for removing the password protection in the registry, so when you really need to get there again it can be unlocked.

Really, the only time I even thought of checking the news was just now when you said something. There won't be news of any worth till after dinner when enough results are in to start making even semi-accurate predictions.
