Luxemborg doesn't make anything. It's jsut where all the rich people move toget away from those hicks in Germany and France.

Leonard Nemoy sings his greatest hit Bilbo Baggins... in this vintage 1968 video from hell.

Yes that has appeared on the boards here before.
Oh, how disturbing.
Tolkien and Star Trek should not mix in any form or association.

What the crap does Luxembuerg make?

From the CIA world factbook

This stable, high-income economy features solid growth, low inflation, and low unemployment. The industrial sector, initially dominated by steel, has become increasingly diversified to include chemicals, rubber, and other products. Growth in the financial sector, which now accounts for about 22% of GDP, has more than compensated for the decline in steel. Most banks are foreign-owned and have extensive foreign dealings. Agriculture is based on small family-owned farms. The economy depends on foreign and trans-border workers for more than 30% of its labor force. Although Luxembourg, like all EU members, has suffered from the global economic slump, the country has maintained a fairly strong growth rate and enjoys an extraordinarily high standard of living.

Fight Club vs. Calvin and Hobbes.
This should probably disturb me a whole lot more than it does.  Instead I just find myself giggling.

WARNING: Vulgar language.
However look at it this way.  Those of you who have SEEN Fight Club probably won't care about the language and if you haven't seen the movie you probably won't think it's funny anyway

Ook, that's hilarious. What I love is that they turned down an offer to settle for half that. I think some lawyers are going to be fired.

Sprig, I think the problem is not that the bears are offered, but that they're offered by a government. Not that I agree with them, but it seems a more understandable argument that way.
