Yeah yeah, I know. But don't stray from the topic, F1, you know we talked about that...actually, you do this more than me (mostly you anyway. According to...umm, I forgot what his name is,  but according to him, I'm the productive one!) At least we're not as bad as we used to be. anyhoo, stop chasing racoons and get rid of my community service!

Did you know that the school actually loses money every time a student doesn't show up?

Nope, you probably shouldn't have. The district pays the school funding and stuff, and I think the school loses apx. 27$ for each student absent. This is one of the reasons they're so strict about tardies and absences.

you are absolutely correct, but i'm not sure how community service relates to underfunded schools, but maybe we could strike some sort of deal, that you have to do community service for the school, like afterschool programs or some such thing(fundraisers maybe) to make up an hour for each day you are absent, instead of the normal 60 hours...

That would be pretty cool. Then we would not have to waste countless hours outside of school, like on weekends, and do it on school days when we're already doing work, so it won't distract us for our weekend/vacation schedule. Did any of that make sense to you?

Yeah, the schools in my community get their funding in accordance to the amount of students which attend them.  They take the entire count on one day.  If a student is absent that day the school loses something like $1900 for each kid missing.  Screwed up, huh?

It's conversations like this that make me cringe when ever Entropy bugs me about setting up a TWG IRC chat.

Spriggan: yes, but in an IRC chat at least we could kick/ban them or send them to a private chat.

Here we don't have that option and it's driving me nuts.

Sorry, sorry, If anyone else was on, I'd talk to them, but a lot of the times I'm on it's just like 2 other people. No more one on one convos...for good this time. And don't treat this like one of those "sucking up letters" or anything like that, I just really am sorry that I've disrupted the community on this board.
