Ok so I've set a goal of 25 pounds, have an exercise routine and am watching my diet.

Yeah, I did that water thing for a while and it wasn't too bad. Other than having to use the bathroom a bit more. But go for it, connect 40.

I would join you, Jeffe, but if I loose any weight I may cease to exist, and no matter what you think that is a bad thing.

I'll join you, Jeffe. I've been working on losing a little weight all year. I've lost 15 lbs. so far, but I've been on  a plateau all summer--mainly because I got out of the habit of daily exercise when I got the flu in June. I've started running again and am going to pick up my interval training again this week.

you're thinking of the wrong Jeff.
42 is Jeff Creer.
Mad Dr. Jeffe is Jeff Crews

I need to lose tons of weight. I'm just not committed to it yet. Certainly not enough to run 4 miles in a day. That'd take me, like, hours to do.

That would be because he never went to BYU, if I remember correctly.

I must say, my week is getting off to a bad start. Exercise-wise, that is (what better way to start off a Monday morning than to get really good news?). It's about 90 degrees here with about 100 percent humidity, and I can barely walk outside, let alone run. I will get up early tomorrow and do some indoor exercise instead (AC). Wow. I hope it rains soon and breaks the heat.

Count me in.

My goal is to lose postpartum inches, so I can start wearing the rest of my wardrobe again. I'm starting slow to increase the chance of actually sticking with it. I have four ab-cises that I am going to do three times a day and walk 2 miles a day for 5 days a week.

Right now I am successfully doing 1 set of ab-cises.

Stacer,... day aint over yet...
Do some stuff around the house for exercise tonight....
Work out hard for about 15 minutes and try to break a sweat.

updates will be Daily I hope...

Today I speed walked 2 miles (to hot to run) and threw all the soda out of my fridge.
From a health standpoint you should just chuck it anyway, diet is loaded with sodium (bad if your losing weight ironically) and regular is full of sugar. If you absolutely need a soda there is only 1 brand in the states you can drink... Diet rite, no sodium, no sugar, and it tastes ok.

Next go the carrots, and fruit...

Fruit I hear you say? Your gonna throw out fruit...?
Yes

Fruit is high in simple sugar, and while it provides a lot of energy quickly it also is easily absorbed and transformed into fat...

Better to stick with harder to digest veggies for a week or two until my metabolism kicks in..

There are two ways to lose weight, and only one of them is healthy.

1. Cut down your intake of food to about 1600-1800 calories a day.

2. Cut down the intake of certain foods, while exercising aerobically.

Do some sort of exercise that gets your heart pumping, swim (its still summer) Bike, Jog, Speed Walk, Tai-bo ... whatever.
Alternating between 1 or 2 can make it a little less monotonous and exercising with a partner can make it a little more fun.

Avoid snacking on heavy carb  items (bread, Chips, cookies, crackers etc) but dont spend a fortune on low carb low sugar substitutes.

Good alternatives to high carb snacks are nuts, fibrous vegetables (like Celery)

more to come.

I lost 58 lbs last summer, but I put on a little since track ended, I could stand to loose around 10 to 15 pounds, I'm in.
