And I'm thinking a Deathly Student could go pretty deep....I mean, Fell's a Master Vampire, I think. That's pretty far down there in terms of "Death"...

Hmm. I wonder what the metaphorical shovel would be in this case.

Who says the shovel is metaphorical? He is, after all, a misshapen grave robber. It's rather difficult to rob graves without digging them up.

Unless you're stuck in a pit with a bottom of limestone and sides made of solid steel and a net of two-inch-thick spider-silk strands is covering the top and streams of lava are pooling ever higher and ever closer to your defenseless body…in that case a *metaphorical* shovel would be a lot more helpful than a *real* one.  8)
