The key with Monster is that it is ADVERTISING
Post your resume in a way that will catch eyes and show up in searches
Do NOT title your resume with conventional Titles... Title it in a way where a search is likely to pull it
LAN, Help Desk, Win 2K, XP, NT, 9x, Linux, Network, Hardware, IP
Is the Title of ONE of my MONSTER Listings.
I say ONE of, because you can have as many Monster postings as you have E-mail addresses. And I have a TON of listings.
Also, Focus on your strong suit and omitt the weakness. If you didnt finish your degree, Skip Education completly on your resume... concentrate on experience
Very valuble advice I got was to Edit/update your Monster postings EVERY day! Dont need to make a change, just click "edit" and "save" each day so that the Monster search engine registers your resume as "new in the last 24 hours"
Due to the Massive number of resumes, many HR folk will filter JUST the last 24 hours... Stay in that que and you will always be seen
MOST IMPORTANTLY, Your Job-hunt is your Job, Set a start and end time for Job-hunting and do it for 8 hours. If you work hard on finding employment from 9-5 every day, It may only be a matter of weeks AND you will still be "in the groove" when you go back to work.
