I listened to 4 Non Blonds today. Remembered why I hadn't in a long time. I'm purging it from my mind by repeated listenings of The Kinks "UK Jive."

That song makes me want to be a brown-eyed girl so a boy would sing it to me. I'm learning to play these on the guitar, which is so fun. I've had a little spare time now that I don't have school and don't have an assignment hanging over my head, so I've been getting my guitar out more often. Good stuff.

Seriously though, I've nothing to complain about. Neither my husband or I are musically gifted. I really like the U2 song with the line "a blue-eyed boy meets a brown-eyed girl" because my husband has blue eyes (not gray--blue).

I've got a music compliation together on Winamp of all the CDs I've ripped to my computer at work. Includes Travis, Natalie Cole, Ace of Base, No Doubt & Vertical Horizons.

Besides, it's easy enough to change it to "blue" or "green" if you're singing it.

Rage Against the Machine. I really love this band, and every time I listen I'm reminded of it. The quality of it is evident in the fact that I do not, in general, like hard rock music.

"God shuffled his feet" is the better song on that album, SE.  Mmm mmm mmm us good, but not as good as the title track.

That's what everyone says.  I wish I had heard it--I keep waiting for them to put that album up on Itunes.  I haven't checked in a while, but last I saw they only had GSHF and another album I hadn't heard of.  No Superman's Song.

"Superman never made any money saving the world from Solomon Grundy."

Really it's interesting that two of the best "superman" songs in the world (excluding REM's of course) are about him becoming disaffected. As if no one could be that noble and capable. The evil eventually wears him down. Strange.

I've never listened to the full CTD album though. Maybe I should sometime "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" and "Superman Song" are the only two I know.

I'm listening to Simple Minds right now. Alive and Kicking, Sanctify Yourself, etc. Man. I like this CD.
