I too felt Moiraine would be the one to save Rand, her name was always recited first the list, but as others said Teams solving this on his own did more for his development.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: When does Alloy of Law get released?

Is this just the short story that Brandon has metioned from time to time or a full on novel which is part 1 of the next trilogy?  If it is the later I am super excited.  I loved Mistborn.  I think it could become a Star Wars like universe if BS can pull off this multi-generational leap between the trilogies.  I want movies, I want comics, I want action figures, I want a Vin Chia Pet.

Why a lesbian?

I must say i am actually enjoying the change in author.  Brandon is a great author (as was RJ) but he does it a different way.  I feel we are getting in the character's heads more.  I do not believe there is much useless detail here as was sometimes present in the past.  Even if I didn't feel this way it is kind of nice to have a change after so many books in RJ's voice.  It is keeping things really fresh for me after a 1 year long re-read of the series.

All of the books that i've read by brandon sanderson has a girl main character, i was just wondering if there is a reason for that.

Because he is a dirty pervert!

Warbreaker page 66

"This princessís arrival should have settled it, but knew that the war hawks among the gods would not let the
issue die."

"but knew"?

This is Lightsongs inner monologue and seems like it should reference him....

Brandon Sanderson / Warbreaker Reviews

Granted many of you read this book some time ago, but I figured now that the book has officially been out for a week and a half that we could see some reviews on here.  I have the book and am waiting on my WOT re-read before picking it up, but in the mean time I want to see some review dang it.

My wife secretly bought me Warbreaker for Father's Day.  But I must say I am a little upset (ok, a lot).  She bought the book at Barnes & Noble and had to pay full cover price.  They didn't offer any discount like they do on many bestselling author's new works.  Why does this make me angry???

1.  This probably only curtails sales to those people who are thinking of picking up a Brandon Sanderson book but may not have a lot of disposable income.

2.  I had to spend an extra $8.00 on a book that I won't get to read until probably after TGS comes out.

If some form of quality could be ensured i wouldn't see anything wrong with this.  Why can't WOT be the new Star Wars?
