Star Wars.com has posted more [link=http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/bts/production/f20050526/index.html]Easter Eggs[/link] to look for.
Among them, confirmation from Lucas himself that that ship is indeed the Falcon!

I suppose in theory the fans will keep it going anyway. After all, it did get this far!
It's really a toss up for me which was my favorite new show this past season, Veronica or Lost.

I mainly use it like Jeffe said, for catching unreleased or recently missed tv eps.
I  also use it as a demo too for pc games, music and even RPG books. If I like it I'll buy it, if not it gets deleted.
Even if I had Ep3 on my PC I'd still go to the theatre to really enjoy it. I'd likely only use the dowloaded version to rewatch specific scenes.

Apologies for a long post, catchin up on the weekend ;)

I find it very funny that Lucas never put his kids into any movie until Peter Jackson put his kids into LotR
Actually, Lucas beat him to it by 2 years. One of his daughters is a friend of Anakin's (the girl with braces ;)). You can see her when he first shows off his pod.

Why do the ships get those round "FTL" travel rings now
Those ships didn't have hypedrives, just the way they were made. Maybe the engine tech wasn't so far along they could put them in small ships yet> More than likey since they're fighters, I would bet they are normally deployed with a carrier, like TIEs. But there are quite a few rings in the "parking lot", eh?

and we assume then that Leia KNEW she was adopted?
An interesting point. It's never mentioned in the films that she was adopted. It was also never mentioned in the films that Vader got to be the way he is from lava. Yet, we've all held these as Truth for the past 27+ years.

at the end of Return of the Jedi, he finally kills the Emperor... and BAM he's back on the Light Side of the Force again?
It's not the fact that he did it, but the reason behind it: to save his son.

And on Aalya's death: I saw the movie in a regular theatre this weekend and she is most certainly dead. When I saw it the first time in digital, you see the clones shooting at her but the camera pans over that freaky flower and you don't see much else.
In the film version, you see the clones shooting her and she falls prone with a blaster burn on her.
There's also talk of Padme's line about the death of democracy being different. Some have heard "This is how democracy ends..to thunderous applause." Others have heard freedom in place of democracy.

By that point, he was probably feeling he deserved to be there anyway.

Can't believe I forgot about Zam!

I caught that Falcon-ish ship when I saw it also. If it is really the Falcon, I'm not sure who would be piloting it at that point in time. Since Lando would be too young.
* Also, when Anakin is going into the opera house to meet Palpy if you look screen left there are a man and young lady conversing. That's Lucas and one of his daughters.
* Lucas' other daughter was in the same scenes as Bai Ling. <*snip!*>
* The young Jedi boy that shows up when Bail tries to land is Lucas' son.
* The front of Bail's speeder is supposedly modelled after the [link=http://www.tuckerclub.org/html/see_a_tucker.php]Tucker car[/link]

You are both correct. That was the rumored character and it will not be her :)

3P0 also gets dismembered quite a bit throughout the films, except this one and TPM.
A quick dismemberment recap for the home audience :)

Ep1 - 3P0 not quite all there. Maul halved
Ep2 - 3P0 loses his head. Anakin loses right forearm. Jango loses his head.
Ep3 - Dooku loses both hands & head. Mace loses a hand. Grievous loses 2 hands. Anakin loses other arm & both legs.
Ep4 - 3P0 loses an arm. Ponda Baba (Walrusman) loses an arm.
Ep5 - 3P0 blasted to pieces. Luke loses right hand
Ep6 - 3P0 has an eye removed. Vader loses right hand (again!)

Plagueis is indeed Sidious' former master. He's mentioned in Labyrinth of Evil. I am curious which one of them may have helped conceive Anakin. Also brings up just how many strings Palpatine was pulling and for how long.

The Aayla thing was debunked [link=http://www.theforce.net/episode3/story/aayla_secura_talks_star_wars_tv_series_91649.asp]recently on TFN.[/link] According to this she will not be in the TV show. Her death, I suppose, is still up for debate. We don't technically see Windu die either.

Travel to anywhere in the galaxy now takes just minutes?
The time it takes to travel a given distance in Star Wars is in direct relation to driving the plot. ;) No way should Palpy have gotten to Mustafar so quickly from Coruscant.

No disbelief at his lord betraying him?
It's all in his look.

Ookla: If you like Grievous I would recommend Labyrinth of Evil and the Ep3 novel.

I was happy to hear it's getting a second season. Apparently, no one at UPN was. They're moving it up against Lost next season :(
Way to go guys!

The inclusion of Qui-Gon in that discussion, however, was the real kicker--why bring him back in?
Someone would have to teach Obi-Wan. Yoda was heading off to the bayou. There was much speculation if Qui-Gon would show up in Ep3. IMO, it would have been a nicer scene if he did ghost in, probably a little more emotional as well.
Being the EU junkie I am, I don't remember where exactly, but I'm pretty sure Yoda and maybe even Obi have spoken with/heard Qui-Gon's spirit. We do hear his voice when Anakin wipes out the Tusken camp in Ep2.
Perhaps his meditation while waiting for the energy wall to open in TPM was a preparation for his "spirit"? Ben also appears to do a little meditaion in ANH before he lets Vader strike him.

or that he has any experience with the jedi at all, let alone Yoda.
I always secretly thought when Ben is talking to Chewie in the cantina that they seemed like they knew each other.

Padme dies? But Leia remembers her mother
My write-off on this is that being Force-sensitive herself, perhaps Leia has some pre-natal memories of mom. Pregnant people talk, sing and play music  to their babies all the time.
Time for some revisionist history I suppose ;)

Imagine getting this holo-transmission:
"Hi, Owen? This is Jedi Master Kenobi. You don't know me, but I was friends with your half-brother, Anakin. He went a little crazy and Padme died, so will you bring up his son in seclusion?"

I have a few geeky nits to pick as well:

If they bother to cast Mon Mothma and Tarkin, why not at least give them a line? Probably ended up on the cutting room floor.

If we have to endure the Tarzan yell again, give us some Wookiees ripping droids arms out of their sockets. I hear they've been known to do that. And as much as I love Chewie, there really was no need for him to be involved.

Maggie Grace as Shadowcat? I think her co-star Evangaline Lily would be better suited looks-wise.
It'll be interesting to see who Angel is also.

Just reading another review from AICN. The person took their nephew to see it. A kid who so far only knows the prequels and had no idea how Ep3 was going to end. "Where'd all the good guys go?" he asked his uncle.
That must have been like the "I am your father" ton of bricks for him.

Fans have talked about which movie they would start with if they were going to show someone the saga for the first time. Many argue that starting with the originals would preserve the big revelation moment. And I was in that camp.
But now I'm not so sure. If you started from Ep1, having that knowledge that the characters don't would certainly make it more interesting to watch Anakin's fall and redemption. Empire wouldn't have the same shock value. But I think it would be a different sort of feeling , as a viewer, from identifying with Luke.

Lucas has responded that his "inspiration" for Ep3 was during the Nixon years. Quite silly to see this Bush thing all over the news.
Saw a very bad review from Cannes on AICN. Apparently, they were upset when Lucas cut the scene where Palpatine talks about his former Sith master: [cue Jerry Lewis] Darth Glaaaavin. ;)

That is a tall order, but if you need anything specific, feel free to ask. If I don't know the answer I can find it for you.

There is a Clone Commander in Ep3 that has similar armor to what the ARC troopers wear.

The direction and stuff like that is what I have no clue about :) And it's kinda hard to give a review without giving things away.
If you wanna send the guidlines, I can give it an actual shot but you may not have it until Wed or Thur. Ironically, I have more free time to do something like that when I'm at work.
In the meantime, there's a good review on AICN which I pretty much agree with. And it's in 3 varieties: objectional, non-spoiler and spoiler.

Skar asked me to do a review for you folks. I'm not really the type who gets into character analyzing or plot (unless there's huge honkin holes). And being a fan for the last 28 years, I can't really be objective, but I'm guessing most people don't want that, they want to know what a fan thinks.
So here is a teeny-tiny, spoiler-free capsule of my expierence.

Let me start by saying this flick is PG-13 for a reason. There are some dark, disturbing and gruesome images. If you have a little one, I would really see the film first before taking them, no one knows your kid better than you.

This is the movie most everyone was wanting with Ep1. This is the one that answers all the big questions.

Ian McDiarmid steals the show as only pure evil can. The phrase beautifully wicked comes to mind.

Hayden & Nat are less stiff in their relationship. When they meet for the first time in the film there's actually some emotion there.

Action? Oh yeah, plenty of that. There's at least FIVE lightsaber duels. As could be expected with that many sabers flashing about, the number of body parts removed from people goes up accordingly. (What is Lucas' deal with that, anyway?)

The opening and ending sequences are very intense and action-packed. The stuff that makes fans giddy as school girls.

In the OT, there were about 5 times where I can get swept up in the emotion of the movie and feel a little choked up. That hasn't happened during the prequels, until now. The final 15 or so minutes will have you in goosebumps for some very different reasons.

This is the keystone of the whole saga. You'll probably want to go back and watch all the movies to see how the story as a whole ties together. I was very satisfied leaving the theater. I have to see it a few more times before deciding where it will fall on The List, but I think it will be behind ESB & ANH.
As they have been throwing around everywhere: "The circle is now complete."
