Well, Mastershake, you're not necessarily a moron. It just may be that you're not familiar with the pulp and film noir genres of movies.

Faster than a streak of lightning, more powerful than the pounding surf, mightier than a roaring hurricane, this amazing stranger from the planet Krypton, the Man Of Steel- Superman!

When I read that, in my head I hear the "Let's Get Ready to Ruuuuumble!" guy's voice doing it.

That's one of the big things missing in CoH: an intereactive environment. It'd be cool to pick up a mailbox, lamp post, passing vehicle and use it to put the beat down on some thugs.

Watched the first season or so. Didn't have the patience for the game. Trying to remember/find out which one fought better against other types...pfoo.

According to this story Virginia's House of Delegates passed a bill Tuesday authorizing a $50 fine for anyone who displays his or her underpants in a "lewd or indecent manner.''
Now I think this is a ridiculous "fashion" as much as the next person, but really...a fine? If I stand out in the street in my boxers is that indecent exposure even though all the naughty bits are covered?
You don't hear anything about women's tops being too low cut or skirts too high.

In any thread discussing Douglas Adams (or platypi for that matter), do the posts really have to make conversational sense?

From MSNBC:

"...an asteroid given the provisional designation 2001 DA42, discovered by the Lincoln Near Earth Asteroid Research project, or LINEAR. It's a relatively unremarkable space rock, orbiting 224 million miles (358 million kilometers) from the sun in the main asteroid belt, between Mars and Jupiter. But its name held triple significance.

Not only did it memorialize the year of Adams' death (2001) and his initials (DA), but it also referenced the number 42 "

The developers want to stay away from phat lewt and I love them for it.
There were quite a few cool things in SW Galaxies that you could only do/get if you were an uber-combat character and I didn't like that at all.
The missions are defintely the same but I find the real dynamic comes from grouping. And yes, I'm still playing!

If you like you're goths a little cuter & softer (and really, who doesn't?) there are Kindergoths.

Bleeding edge also has Tub-tasrophies for tubby time. These are not so cute and in fact rather gruesome, so...you've been warned  ;D

I ain't seen much in the way of the nominated but I have to agree with you on The Incredibles & the team behind Sky Captain.
Any flick that has more blue screen than your average Star Wars prequel (and pulls it off) at least deserves a nomination. *grumble*stupid Matrix*grumble

Those ESB cards, even in mint condition, would maybe fetch $100 for all 3 sets if you're lucky.

Just what the world needs.  Gothic Cabbage Patch Kids.

Living Dead Dolls
*Not for the non-horror inclined and at least PG-13
