But still, you've arguably got three of the most powerful Jedi to ever live...Even without their sabers, Yoda & Mace could Force-toss the ninja around like ragdolls. And Anakin & Luke could whine at them.
There was an ep of the Clone Wars toon where Mace was sans saber for awhile and still took out tons of battledroids.

I'm also interested to see in coming shows more of what happened on the plane. I have a feeling it may become one of those things where they have to hide the backstory from you at first so as not to give everything away.

There's no arguing more dogfighting almost anywhere in the movie wouldn't have been worth it. I suppose if it'd been Sky Captain and His Crack Pilot Corp there would have been. Who knows, maybe there was but it got cut from the final film?

Yeah I think GL definately help back on the extras. There's at least 3 behind the scenes TV shows I can recall that should have been on here since you can't readily get them on VHS anymore. Guess we'll have to wait for the next set in 2007 for the 30th anniversary.

I havent' had time to wade thru all the extras but did watch The Return of Darth Vader. Some great peeks at the Big Fight in there :)

Here are some funny "new footage" screencaps

sorry, had to change the "link" code to "url" so that it opened the new window, it was getting to me ~SE

Which brings up an interesting question:
If Jedi were not allowed to love, how did they determine which children should be tested? Since midichlorians are in the blood, it would be an inherited trait, but Jedi shouldn't be having kids...Was it some kind of government thing where they would just take a blood sample from every kid they could find and keep logs?

There are major characters in the game but you don't get to control them. I haven't had a chance to play around with Battlefront a whole lot yet and I've never played BF1942. So I don't really have anything similar to compare it to.
The game does offer a single player campaign spanning different eras. And there's also 'instant action" where you can just pick a rotation of maps and play all day.

I wasn't saying you (or your wife) over anaylzed it, that was a just a general statement. Lots of times I hear people say a movie was bad that I enjoy. Maybe I just have lower standards?  :D
I'm the kind of person who doesn't think "X looks like a good movie", I think "X looks like an entertaining movie." And for me, that's what movies are all about, being entertained. Were the Charlie's Angels films "good"? Not really but they were fun for me.
I tend not to notice where dramatic license is taken (like the pilots not scrambling) unless it's a huge freakin plot hole.

I thought it was great. Had some very intense moments for a tv show. It will be interesting to see what develops. By the very nature of the show the majotiry of it has to be character driven and with 48 survivors, an unknown thing(s) lurking in the jungle and a mysterious dog there should be plenty of stories to tell.

What are your thoughts on the rocker-guy? In the flashback it seemed the attendents were chasing him down the aisle. Then when they got to the cockpit later he was in the bathroom, maybe not heading nature's call. Does he have a thing for airplane bathrooms?

That's crazy! Certainly it had to be a ninja dark jedi monkey. A good jedi would leave a message...

Here's something interesting:

Irvin Kershner, who directed Star Wars: Episode V;The Empire Strikes Back, told SCI FI Wire that he doesn't feel that his vision has been compromised by series creator George Lucas, who enhanced and altered the movie in a 1997 special edition and this week's DVD release. "I saw the special editions, and there were two slight changes, which I was a part of," Kershner said in an interview.

As the guy that's been pushing this movie on people since last year I can now say I got everything I expected and a little extra.
I have to say I'm a little sad they didn't do any merchandising. Who wouldn't love to have toy versions of those robots on your desk?
Maybe it's just me but did anyone else keep thinking Ewan McGregor could have been switched for Jude in some scenes and no one would have noticed?

Loved the movie, was at least everything I was expecting. Could easily have been broken up and shown serial-style. I couldn't help but smile/laugh to myself at some points in the film, such as Franky's kamikaze run. Just really solid pulpy goodness!
It's a great old fashioned adventure flick. Something that should be enjoyed for what it is and not over analyzed.   :P
Wish Dex had been in it more. "Try shaking it!"
The whole conversation about taking a picture of the space ark was great.
The soundtrack is great also, highly recommend it. It's very John Williams-esque.

Actually, there a few figures that have the Melee ability which means they can only attack in melee range ;)
The twi'lek stripp...ah, bodyguard and the Imperial guards have it.
