Well I got a reply to my resume and cover letter (thanks for the reminder Jeffe) with them asking me more specific questions on various things I know.

No problem, my dad teaches ex army officers to write resumes so I guess I picked up a little.

That's not true.  Ever been depressed?  Sometimes hope walks right out on you, and there's nothing you can do but hold on for the ride.

Thanks, though that is "if" I get one.  Though I never would be in this position if EUOL hadn't tricked me into codeing his site.  Sometimes succsessful older brothers are a good thing.

Ah depression... I went through a year being completely depressed... That wasnt fun.

Yeah, I meant good luck getting an interview.  They ought to at least give you that, yeah?

Yeah, I wish I had a succesful older brother, the best I can do is a succesful Brother in law who is a co-owner of a Nascar team. And its not even a winning team...

I believe you.  I guess it's different for everyone, but I think that sometimes you can't see hope, even if it's right in front of you, because your brain isn't willing to process it.  Then again, even when that happens, I still hold out hope that I'll someday again have hope, so I guess maybe that counts.  At any rate, it's why I'm still here.

So you understand the idea that hope doesn't leave you, its the other way around.  And that's why losing hope is so dangerous.
