If you're a curvy person, you look better in flares because it continues the curves rather than ending in a tapered point.  If that makes any sense.

I'll go a long with that...

Except it also makes non curvy women look curvy...

I'm not rewriting the same story over and over... I have lots, some mostly done, others just outlined.  But we were talking about worldbuilding, I just keep adding on and on.

My roommate and I actually discussed that.  We decided that flares balance out curves.  If you're a curvy person, you look better in flares because it continues the curves rather than ending in a tapered point.  If that makes any sense.

That's why I wear wide-legged pants. Flares, not so much for me, because it's a little too much on the trendy side. But tapered legs only emphasize the size of your hips and waistline.

Okay, it's way past my bedtime. Surely if I just lie down, sleep will come along. If nothing else, I'll read for a while, try and make myself accomplish something rather than *gasp* wasting time.

Night.

I've been wearing flares for eight years.  I don't consider that trendy.

I see what you're saying, though.

Ah, yes, but how many of us are Tolkein?

If you want to get published, and you're an average writer, you have to keep writing new things until you get good.  That's my hope, anyway.  Not that I'm getting any writing done right now.  Why?  Because I'm talking to you people instead.  Not that I'm complaining.

I think you are going to nag me into sending a book in if you keep this up.

Too trendy for work purposes, I should have said.

I'm really going now.

Are you telling me that you've written books and you're sitting on them?

Yeah, basically.  I don't want to send one in until I know I won't later change or add in something that would affect the story... um, something like that.
