actually its relevent... to firefly. Its a pretty good representation of one of the main characters... a no go lowlife (who happens to be loveable) called Jayne.

I watched several episodes of Firefly, and I don't see the connection.  (although I missed a couple -- maybe I missed the South Parkian ones).

I never watched for the sole reason I knew it would be canned after a few shows.  And I didn't want to watch a show, like it, then have it get cancled after a few episodes.  Since I never saw it I didn't care when they did.

oh and if you wanted to talk about firefly why not use the firefly thread that was allready on the board?

Because I didnt know there was a firefly thread on the bord, and because the whole series was released as a dvd set.
The picture is a south park rendering of Jayne Cobb from the the first episode the train job. Where he keeps going off about how he's in charge because of the chain of command. And then they drug him to keep him from being in charge.

The good news is with DVD sales doing great, the show getting high ratings overseas and a pending movie deal, Firefly looks ike it will be back soon.

Our Mrs. Reynolds is definitely great.

I'm always partial to Ariel, because it's so clever, you get to see the men with the blue hands, and Simon in action and Kaylee and Wash do the med ship and... oh, everything.

Trash is great though because it lets you think everything went bad from the start and then you find out that everything went exactly according to plan... except maybe for the nekkid bit. Still really funny, and even funnier when Saffrons "Husband" non-chalantly informs her that he's called the cops. Or when Mal just comes right out and says

"Its exactly what it looks like, we're stealing your artifact"
the chump replies...

Mal: "So, she's added cussing and hurling about of things to her repertoire. She really is a prodigy.

Simon: "It's just a bad day."

Mal: "No, a bad day is when someone's yellin' spooks the cattle. Understand? You ever see cattle stampede when they got no place to run? It's kind of like a...a meat grinder. And it'll lose us half the herd."

Simon: "She hasn't gone anywhere near the cattle."

Mal: "No, but in case you hadn't noticed, her voice kinda carries. We're two miles above ground and they can probably hear her down there. Soon as we unload, she can holler until our ears bleed." (to River) "Although I would take it as a kindness if she didn't."

River: "The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems."

Mal:  (to Simon) "See, morbid and creepifying, I got no problem with, long as she does it quiet-like."
