Teen Titans
« on: January 17, 2004, 04:23:11 PM »
I'm almost ashamed to admit it, but I really like this show.  And it's more than just the catchy J-pop theme, which I can sing to amuse my husband.  I'm watching an ep right now where one character accidentally goes forward into the future, and thereby messes up the Titans by being gone.

It's amusing because I well remember identical episodes from other cartoons, including Superman and Batman.  And Darkwing Duck, (which was a really good one).   And all I can think is, "It's comforting to know that they're recycling these old plots so that kids today will get to see them too."

Is that dumb, or do you agree?

I agree, as long as the shows are cool like Jackie Chan, and not lame like . . . um . . . other cartoons.

No, it makes sense.  You probably know the episode of Darkwing that I'm talking about, too.

I saw J.T. in the mall today, Fuzzy, but I don't think he recognized me. Maybe I should have sung the Teen Titans theme.

Hmm, that probably wouldn't have done it, but it would have been funny.

I'm still not impressed with the show.  It's the wost one WB animation has done.  I'm not going to rant on it anymore since I've allready done so here.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Ahh, good old Disney afternoon.  Darkwing was cool, but me any my friend's favorites were Rescue Rangers (for Dale) and Tailspin (for Wildcat.)

Tailspin was an awesome show.  Why they heck hasn't Disney tried to make a few extra bucks by releasing DVD sets of things like Darkwing and Tailspin.  I know I'd buy them.

I kinda thought that Rescue Rangers was dumb, despite the Grateful Dead homage in their logo.

Tailspin was a much better show. The conccept of the setting was incredibly cool (though it had little or nothing to do with the movie three of the main characters came from), and there were some pretty well thought out plots. AND there's a Dead Kennedys logo reference in it.

I figured you meant to say "on tap"- like you had episodes downloaded onto your computer and could watch them at any time.

Is Tailspin the one where the boy bear guy flew on his boomerang attached to a plane? Btw, are there still new episodes of Teen Titans being made?
