Honestly, I don't see what the problem is with that one.  The Orient is a specific place within Asia.  'Asians' isn't very specific, in my opinion.

I had a friend in high school who was very offended by the term "oriental."  He preferred Asian.  Like everything else, it probably just depends on the person, so you can't please everybody all the time.

probably what is "offensive" about it is that it associates the Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese (and yes, many others) who are very clear about being quite distinct from one another. Sort of like we are about being distinct from those wicked, wicked Canadians.

First, I think the title was funnier with "Japanese" in it, and second, I'm fairly sure that the Japanese do more weird things per capita than Koreans and Chinese.

Yeah, whatever weird stuff the Koreans do, it's usually just copying something weird the Japanese have already done.
