wow calm down there.  I'm not arguing what OS is better the what.  I know OSX runs very nice.  I was just stateing why I don't like them.  Becasue of 6 years of haveing to use them in high school and haveing more problems on them for the things I was trying to do then on PCs from that time.  I don;t think macs are crap, never had.  I'm also not going to argue which on is better, nor have I tried to do so.  Both machines have their pluses and minuses.

and if what you said about Mac users only being snobs becasue of PC users, then mac users much be very insecure.  Which we know isn't true.  They're snobs because of several reasons, such as Mac telling people you're cooler then anyone else if you use their stuff (there have been conercials) and well Most people who use macs are artists and artists are all snobs (just ask 42).

Insecure no, just annoyed we generally like our computers and have lots of fun on them. When someones impression of them is outdated or completly wrong then we want to learn 'em (preferably with a Koala stick). But unlike you I havent really met many Mac snobs generally the Mac and Apple folks I know are helpful and gregarious. I have met lots of PC snobs though, people who tell you that they have the best of X or Y and snear at you when you say you have something different.
Im sorry if I gave the impression that I was defending OSX, or saying which os was better, if they do what they are supposed to then hey more power to ya. Its justs like your MP3 player and mini-recorder; Im excited you got what you wanted. I just wanted to point out that a lot has changed in the computer world in general in 6 years.

The PC snobs are usealy Powergames, they're the only ones that allwayse have to have upto date hardware.  I tend to ignore them, because every week what's the best PC changes.

The PC snobs I've met aren't even power gamers, just people who don't know any better, my power game friends are pretty cool.
When I bought my Mac I cant count the number of people who said I couldnt use microsoft word, send email, run programs or get anything off of my old computer or do anything at all. Im pretty sure these people wouldnt have cared when I bought my Honda or argued that the Honda couldn't use tires, or didn't have a trunk, and that the stock radio sucked, and that the car was too slow compared to their Ford Escort, or Caddy.
My powergame friends are PC specialists who build their own stuff for fun, and like just about any computer for any reason. Hey it was about all I could do to get them to not take my laptop apart so they could see how it worked.

Laptops aren't something you want to open up just for fun.  Mine is an IBM and is sealed for several reasons (like impact protection) the screws that hold the case shut are one-time use only so once you take them out you have to replace them with new ones, for about $20.  There's a few other things that have th be replaced if you go past removeing the case too.  All in all would cost about $50 just to reseal it.

this puppy is actually made to take apart easily. In fact those crazy japanese have discovered that if you soak the casing in alchol you can dissolve the white paint leaving a clear plastic ibook which can be painted, or left in its laptopy goodness....
