Well, I'm also descended from William the Conquerer. And I will raise you a whole ancestral line of Netherland royalty.

I'll see your small country rulers and raise you a pack of middle class Germans.

I can match that with a my own pack of Scandenavian middle-class and I will raise you with a whole lot of Utah pioneers and settlers. And I will add to the pity almost the entire Island of Mann.

Are you trying to raise or lower the value of your stake?

Joking aside, that does absolutely NOTHING to beat out most of the people here. In fact, probably the only thing more people here have in common than Norman royalty in their ancestry is Pioneer settlers.

The same could be said of your middle-class Germans.

Not all of us are pioneer stock. In fact, I have good reason to believe I have a great-great-great--whatever--uncle who was a member of the Carthage militia.  :o First "pioneers" in my family joined the church in 1969.

I have a pirate ancestor. I don't like to talk about it, since he got hung, which shows he lost.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)
