It says it on the staff page.

I had read the "About Us" page looking for some mention of it, but there is none. It says several people were TLE staff, but doesn't say how TWG relates to TLE.

As for the FAQ, I've looked around for it before without success. Now I see it's in the News forum. That's kind of a weird place for a general FAQ to be. Shouldn't there be a link to it in a prominent place? I do not usually check the News forum.

what bad timing!

If it were me, well, I would probably be very interested in discovering who sent me the fish. I'd be displeased with the roommates for their negligence, and express said displeasure to them. (Not so much about the fish but the email thing.) And I'd do whatever it took to find out who the person was.

Yes I agree that a direct approach would be much better, but any (honest) approach I'd generally consider better than none.

But since it's not me in this situation...well, what are the odds that someone who uses a goldfish approach has a Ph.D.?

(and Gemm, fyi: 400 N. 1800 W. would be a bit off; usually it would be more like 401 N. 1800 W. or 452 N. 1800 W.; actually they're likely to say "No." instead of "N." for North. 1800 West would be the street; 401 would be the address of the building. 401 would be on the corner of streets 1800 West and 400 North; 452 would be halfway down the block of 1800 West, between the streets 400 North and 500 North. Sometimes 400 North is called 4th North, and 1800 West called 18th West.

I think that system works better than the (lack of a) system in most cities.)

I was just thinking today that it was odd nothing on the site says it started as an article in TLE.

I haven't sat down to really think about what house I'd fit best according to the classifications.

Of course, since I'm American, it would be quite odd for me to be attending magic school in England.

No simple task with a 1000-page book.

isn't that Guards, Guards! rather than Watch, Watch!   ?

the most recent Watch book is Night Watch, which I read standing in the bookstore in Japan, over a period of a few weeks. A good time travel story.

I met Ryan Flake (again) at Anime Expo. Actually, he and I were in the same ward at BYU for a semester or two. He lived on the 6th floor of R Hall, and I lived on the 7th. It was freaky when he walked up to the booth--I recognized him instantly but had no clue where from.

Alethea and Athena's old home teacher is in my ward now... I missed meeting them at AX. Yeah, I guess they want to do voice acting. They currently translate a lot of stuff, like Ai Yori Aoshi.

ooh, another blog update!

Planning 3.0 on WoK? What does that mean?

So revisions on ELANTRIS are pretty much over?

CJ Cherryh keeps track of her current word count in her blog, which she posts pretty much every day. (It seems to focus on her iceskating lessons more than anything else.)

speaking as one who enjoyed the old Mistborn well enough...the new one blows it out of the water.

How does it compare among Brandon books? It's tight. Definitely the tightest of your long books. In most other categories it compares quite favorably. I'll have to hold off until later though on more.

ah, that's right.

but it's palate...a palette spread is what happens when you go from 8 bits to 16 bits in Photoshop.
