Brandon Sanderson / Hero of Ages Prologue

I just saw this posted on Brandon's website. Like, woah. Bloody amazing, flipping sweet... pick your adjectives! October cannot come soon enough for me.

I checked both my local Borders and Barnes and Noble locations on Tuesday with no luck. In fact, they had no Brandon Sanderson novels at Barnes and Noble at all.

I checked their website the next day, and it said they had the Well of Ascension paperback in stock, so I went back. They didn't have any displays, nor were they in with all the other new paperbacks. But there was a nice whole in sci-fi/fantasy section where they had made room for WoA. There must have been space for about 8 or 9 copies, and I got the very last one.

I made a polite suggestion at the customer service desk that they should stock some more of them.  ;D

Hooray! This is VERY exciting. Plus Well of Ascension comes out in paperback today. so it's already looking to be an excellent day!

Not sure how the whole animation thing is going to work out, but it could be very cool.

VegasDev: definitely read it. Kids will definitely enjoy it, but I actually think I can enjoy more because I'm older. I'll never again be able to say the word "rutabega" without laughing.  ;D

I watched it. I liked it, but I thought the first two episodes were actually quite depressing....

Hmmm, interesting.

Honestly, I hope it's not Mistborn. I don't think Hollywood is capable of making a good movie out of it. It's just too cool like it is.

Wow, this is waaaay too cool.

I can't wait for more details. Alcatraz rocks... even though he isn't a nice person.  ;D

Hmm, considering balefire's unique properties, how would a balefire blast look to an atium user?

Ooooh.... good question. One would assume they could see it coming.

That being said, I would MUCH rather be a Mistborn. Granted, if I was an Aes Sedai, I could heal people, and that would be awesome. But Allomancy is a cooler magic system, IMO. To me, it has more style and... finesse than channeling.

I'm sure they're perfectly manly, Phaz. Raoden would wear one!

This is just the coolest thing ever! I can tell I'm going to spend forever dithering over which one to get....

I doubt it won't be on time, the date's already been pushed back once.  Besides that, all this time in between the release gives you plenty of time to introduce more family and friends to the books.  Then they can share in your anticipation.  Or hate you for it like mine do.

Wow, I have that same problem. Glad I'm not the only one....

You should pre-order it on Amazon. I personally think it helps relieve some of the stress of waiting, because you've technically already purchased it.  ;D

Oh, Zane still is a raving Zaniac. It's just not all in his head.  ;)

Score one point for Zane.  ;D

Speaking of Zane, I might add his death to the list of surprises. I was definitely not expecting him to be killed so quickly. He was set up as such a fascinating character and then just cut off in his character development prime. Major bummer, that one.

Definitely Marsh showing back up from the dead... that was seriously unexpected.

However, the best surprise was when Elend suddenly turned into a Mistborn. Majorly cool.

How long is MB3 going to be? With all this and more to clear up methinks it's going to have to be mighty long. (Heh, the more the better!)
