More on Action Figures

Well, 2 new lines are out

The new Superman movie toys look about the same as the toys DC has traditionally had. Ie, I'm not interested. They're not cool enough. They lack articulation and interesting sculpts

However, the real surprise comes from Disney.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest action figures are out. Made by Zizzle, the 6" figures have decent sculpts but barely articulate, favoring instead "action grip" type features. I hates them. No, the real treasure is the 3.5" scale figures. The sculpes are amazing. Jack Sparrow *looks like Johnny Depp.* They're not super articulate, but the knees and elbows bend. The only thing they lack on GI Joe in that field is some sort of write movement. BUt, as I said, the sculpts are great, which beats anything Hasbro has ever done. I'm excited. I may actually buy some piratey stuff.
