making fun of cosplay

What I like about it is that after the first, accurate extended jab, he mostly only lets them do it to themselves. Well, there's his eye movement, which is pretty amusing, but these guys dig themselves a pretty deep pit.

Well... that about sums it up.  Actually I have more respect for the people who go to all the trouble of reproducing the costume of a specific character, and less for the people who show up just dressed in random things and looking like they mugged four or five people for parts of their costumes.

Not a whole lot more, but a little more.

So, in my head I had a huge debate about whether this should go here, in Cool Stuff, or in RPGs. Eventually I decided it's more frightening than anything else. Wizards is sponsoring D&D games in libraries:

other than the kids who participate will be targeted by bullies, that's kind of a great idea to help garner interest in reading, libraries, and gaming. And it's might also provide a safe activity for kids during the afternoon.

If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

That is hilarious.

How would you like to be Hansen, and have your music used to aggravate people into giving money?  :)

I'm sure that school is violating the Geneva Convention.

I just noticed this. You know what else is disturbing? I was promoting it at ALA to librarians. Didn't I tell you about that?

2 things.

This one from sprig: Does it really surprise anyone that this opinion came from someone in Idaho?

This from Jeff Rowland. I really have no idea, whatsoever, of how to react to this
