Whoa.  Who would EVER need that many different tools in his pocket?

I'd say that definitely deserves a mention in one of Dan's serial killer books.

I use about that many tools, but that thing would be so unwieldy that it just wouldn't be worth it.

I'm a maintenance tech at the apartment complex I live in.  The property is about 40 years old so lots of stuff can and do break all the time.

But do you use like 12 nearly-identical knives?  I mean, I can imagine using the pliers and screwdrivers and nailclippers and such (though, as you say, that tool would be too unwieldy to be practical), but an awful lot of those tools look to me like they would serve the same function.

Some things only come in pairs. In this case, intimidation.

Sorry.  I looked at it from the website and saw that they advertised something like 85 tools.  I carry at least that many with me but they are all different.  Though the difference might only be size in some cases

All of the knives have different shapes, which a carpenter would tell you they are all completely different tools.

Urg. I'm with Eerongal on this one. It doesn't help to know that, upon reading the article, touching its skin can result in permanent numbness, and it eats coral reefs and fishing hooks for fun??

Yikes. Wouldn't want to get too close.

Well, I wanted to put it in the "disturbing stuff" thread, but a casual search didn't pull up one more recent than 2007 and I didn't want to necropost.

The number of legs on that thing...
