Adams was funny, but Pratchett has matured to the point where he can make a book both deeply serious and deeply funny. A Discworld novel is a far more satisfying experience than the pure, unadulterated silliness of The Hitchhiker's Guide.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 'Guide, but Pratchett's a hard man to beat.

Pretty much sums up his administration IMO. Whatever you may think of his time in office, he seems to have done what he thinks is right.
