Yeah, they're very helpful. Either when you want some insight into the book (they also have notes on the book), or you just plain don't feel like reading it, these sites are lifesavers for most boring books.

Too bad I hadn't heard of this magic last sumer.  I instead read about 2500 pages of boring between all my classes.  It seemed like 100,000,000,000 pages, though.

Ouch, that had to set you back a large chunk of time. How did you not die of boredom (unless the books were interesting, in which case you would not want to pinkmonkey, sparknotes, etc.)?

Hey, furry rodent-like creature, I have a question;  WHY ARE YOU RE-READING THE BOOK?  IF YOU HAVE ALREADY READ IT THEN YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO REACALL THE EVENTS OF THE STORY AND THEREFOR NOT HAVE TO READ IT AGAIN!!! Especially if you don't like it.

Hey, SamMan, yes it put me back about three days.  Which did not make me happy.  Animal Farm (George Orwell) was awesome, and I have read it several times.  Otherwise The Jungle was decent and The Autobiography of Bengamin Franklin and Into the Wild almost killed me.

Caps lock is not your friend. It is, in fact, your mortal enemy and made very disparaging remarks about your mother.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I don't use cap locks, just FYI, I just hold shift, it's not that hard.  I was using it to simulate yelling at the rodent, as there is no volume or tone over the internet.

Either way, Entropy's quote about caps lock has now been posted to my livejournal and my friends are using it.

Because it rocks.

Resurrection!

YEah, the dogwoods are in bloom. I have two of them right outside my office window, filling the view. I even opened my blinds to accomodate a better view. Nice.

so I was leaning back in my chair, admiring the dogwoods, and I decided to grab the digital camera and show them off
So, here they are.
Yeah, the file sizes are quite large. I haven't had a chance to do anything with them.

Oh yeah, baby. Virginia style thunderstorm moving in. looks like the commute home's gonna be heck. I love this weather though, if I were at home sitting on the couch with a good book, this would rock the Casbah. Finally, spring is here.

well, if it's any comfort, it looks like it's already blown past reston, heading east, which I believe is your direction, but shouldn't last long. Too bad, in a way, I was looking forward to a good long storm.

It will wreck just enough to make a 15 minute commute into an hour and a half commute.
