Spring Fever
« on: March 26, 2004, 09:24:32 AM »
Yes, it's that time of year again.

The time of year when I stop whining about how the weather sucks and start whining about how I'm stuck indoors when there are like, 5 types of flowers blooming outside my window, I can hear the birds singing even in my office, and the weather is glorious.

*sigh* I guess I'll always be malcontent.

And all my friends are on spring break but me.  It's not that I can't understand that BYU doesn't get a spring break, but I hate that it always falls at the end of the semester just as I'm busy as all get out.

I hate, HATE that EVERYONE is on spring break having fun while I'm driving myself crazy writing stupid papers.

yeah, but you have the compensation that your semester will be completely over and all those people will probably have 2 weeks or so left of school.

and I could use a ton of money. YEah.....

Also, I could enjoy being out on the lawn. As it is I've done crap today but read a very angering post about how Bush is an idiot for not acting in the first 7 min. after learning about the 9-11 attacks. Apparently this would have magically saved lives. You all know I have an intense dislike of Bush and don't want to vote for him come November, but really, these people are idiots. I'm apparently an idiot to for reading a Keenspot message board.

Well Fuzzy, don't fret. I was still in school when my friends had their break too. Which sort of annoyed me. Plus I only get one week of spring break. I feel your pain!

Don't worry, it only gets worse! My friend is in New York today, for the whole weekend, on spring break, and I don't get any days off till at least Memorial Day. The good news is that I get to borrow the car that belongs to the friend that went with him, who didn't want to just park his car on a Boston street for the weekend.  ;D Happy, happy. Roadtrip time! I hope it stops raining by tomorrow.

Cherry Blossum weekend here too, all the cherry trees are in bloom. We should get gifts like that from Japan more often. Of course it'd be Yugi O blossums now.

I'm going to import some ninja monkeys. I hear they come with subtitles already installed

seriously though, I think I'm going downtown tonight right after work. Thomas Jefferson memorial. That'd be cool.

Just changed my mind. I'm gonna go hang out in Old Towne Alexandria. Maybe eat at a pub or something. At the very least get something from the home made ice cream place. Yeah. Been a long time (I think my favorite used record store is gone), but that will rule.

well, my favorite used record store, and my favorite Irish pub are gone. However, the used record store was replace by another used record store. In the same spot. I only know it's a different store because I talked with the guy behind the counter, and managed to secure the sfety of my record collection (they don't buy much, so my wife can't make me sell)

There's no music like record music.  Seriously.  Whip out an old phonograph and your agonna have yourself a jolly good time...

I'm very particular. Punk, ska, and 80s music goes on vinyl. And a couple others. some alt rock, "odd" stuff like TMBG if I can find it (very difficult). Most everything else comes on CD. Esp. Jazz and Classical.
