Fashion?
« on: August 13, 2004, 06:31:21 PM »
So here at work we recently hired a new girl: fresh out of college--I think she's 23.  She is quite attractive (since I work for a building materials company, all of the truck drivers & building contractors are constantly hitting on her.)  She always dresses very nicely, all the time, and seems to keep on top of the latest styles, and seems very well-kempt generally.  Smells nice, etc.

But she never seems to wash her hair.  Sometimes I wonder if she combs it.  I'm not trying to exaggerate for comedic effect here.  It just looks kind of limp and greasy, and basically unwashed.  Is that in fashion, and I'm just out of the loop?

Maybe she has a very unfortunate skin condition?  Like really oily skin?  And she's taken to showering at night because it's too hard to get up an hour early to do your hair, so  after 12 hours her hair gives up on looking nice.

I'd have to see the hair to offer any other opinions.

Yeah, HoM, sneak a camera into work and take a picture of her hair, then share it with us. Then we'll render our opinion.

I can't imagine that that will go over very well.  Still, everytime there's a couple of clients in the office we drag out a camera and take pictures.  I'll see what I can find.

I think I need to meet this attractive girl and judge her hair for myself. Find out if she'd be interested in a 27 year old programmer with curly hair.

I doubt it, and I doubt that you'd be interested in her either.  She's living with her boyfriend.

Also, now that I think about it Tage, she's too tall for your discerning tastes.  I think she's 5'11" or so.

Where's Ookla when you need him? I want to see Ookla and Tage argue about how there are neither any tall girls nor any short girls!

do I say that?

I usually say I'm looking for a tall one...5'11" is about the low end of what I'm looking for... >_>

So now that I've actually been paying attention, I think I've figured this out.  Every morning she comes in with her hair up (I don't know style names--it's just "up").  Then, around lunch or so, she lets it "down".  The unwashed look, I think, is just that in the afternoon her hair is kind of rumpled from being "up" all day.

Ladies of the board: is that possible?
