Muncie is the school the protagonist of Hudsucker Proxy attended. The reporter gal trying to get the story pretends to be an alumnus (alumna?) of the same. When he feels she's betrayed him, he tells her what I quoted, thus revealing that he has NO idea how deep the deception goes.

I was trying to remember what movie that was from. I used to have it on video, but then accidentally taped over it. What a funny movie.

My Mom had a friend whose name was Jancilynne, but my dad said that was too long, so she split it up to Janci Lynne.  

That's the story anyway.  I wasn't actually there.
