@Silk: it'll suck even more for the person you letter-ologically resemble.  Imagine getting legal action out of the metaphorical blue... although, they really should be paying more attention, considering it's their credit card.

Ugh.  I have to clean out my fridge.  Time to break out the gas masks, rubber gloves and (quite possibly) traps.

What would you want girl troubles for? "stay away" is a pretty good answer so far as I'm concerned. =D

Raven: Well, yes, but yes, they SHOULD be paying more attention. Also, since the credit card company gaffed by sending that person's mail and phone calls to me (the letter included the credit card number... gotta love that kind of security) I should hope they'll actually try to get ahold of this person again before coming down on them with lawsuits.

Uh. I should probably go destroy that letter now.

Well, in that case, I'll use that line on her. "Hi, would you like to go to homecoming with STAY AWAY!!!" *headasplode*

See, I used to be legendarily good with the ladies (no, really!), but I must have lost something after my well-timed (not really) year-long exile. My short hair? All social ability whatsoever (parenthetical comments can really derail the flow, can't they)?

I'll admit that I've changed wicked-much, but this stuff is supposed to be easy, dang it (yeah, buddy)! (bonus)

Skyline lost the Emotion Bowl. Badly. (See the happy things thread for my explanation of the Emotion Bowl)

It wouldn't have been so bad to lose, but we lost due to a whole bunch of really stupid mistakes. Our team was really sloppy in the first half of the game, and when they finally got it together in the second half, they still made just enough mistakes to prevent us from winning. Every time it seemed like we did something amazing, we'd do something really stupid shortly after.

For example, one of our players had an amazing interception on our 3-yard line. The catch was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. At this point, if they'd worked down the field a bit, we might have had a chance. Instead, our quarterback dropped the ball and allowed IF to take possession (on our 3 yard line). They scored, of course. That was pretty much the clincher.

But there were other moments. We had several huge runs down the field, and got to the point where we were first down and goal. Our quarterback passed it right to one of the IF players standing in the middle of the endzone, with no Skyline players within 10 feet of him. I about screamed at this point.

Realize, of course, that I'm not trying to pick on the quarterback. The whole team sucked. Miserably. In fact, I can only think of one player on the entire team who played what I could call a great game. The rest just didn't play well.

I'd attribute it to the team being bad if I hadn't seen them play other games. We've played teams that were better than us and won because of some of the brilliant plays they've done. We're the only team in our region still undefeated (until tonight, anyway). I've been to several other games watching these guys, and usually they play really well. Tonight, they all just fell apart. It was pretty much awful.

So now, I get to spend Tuesday eating my words in all of my classes at IF. And the goal posts remain orange. Between that, losing my voice from all that screaming, and the really annoying girls about 5 feet away from me the whole game, it wasn't among my favorite Emotion Bowls. It was still fun, though.

Football season makes me grumpy. It seems like I always get caught in their stupid football traffic jams and annoyed by their stupid football cheering and pounding on the floor. And then everyone wants to talk about the stupid football games, and they look at me like I'm a stupid heretic because I don't bow to the stupid altars of the stupid Church of Football, state religion of the United States.

My daughter broke her ankle and the local doctor says an orthopedic specialist should look at it.  So we have to get up at 5:30 to drive for an hour and a half to the nearest specialist. Sometimes living in a small town is annoying.

I know how you feel, except I have lots of geeky friends.

Either I'm just really stupid (which I haven't ruled out yet) or the UBC databases are still acting up.

Either way, grumpy.

I'm grumpy because no one is online to get some dueling in.
