Ahaha.

I love how every single American I've mentioned this incident to has said, instantly and without fail, "SUE THEM". It's very entertaining.

This is only partial grumpiness...You know my camera that broke on me while I was in Europe? Yeah. I decided to try and fix it in the last hour. Took out all the screws, separated the two sides of the cover, took out more screws, and eventually got down to the lens (the part that was broken. The ACTUAL lens wasn't broken, just the metal part that has the zoom features and all that good stuff).

Well. I popped the lens back up into place (it was crooked), and was super-happy, because I thought it was fixed. So I put everything back together, and get some batteries into it, and then turn it on. "Lens error." ARGH!...I now have to twist the stupid lens back up, so the last of the three levels will be back to the normal height (the broken level was the second level, but somehow the camera got busted when it was zoomed in, so every time I turn the camera on (when it works anyway) it zooms BACK in, and then won't turn back on when it gets shut off until it's back to the normal size...It's stupid). Only it won't twist anymore and it's not even close to being the right height.

So yes. I almost fixed my broken camera, but alas, the final step eludes me. I'm so sad. I guess I won't have a camera when I see the Grand Canyon for the first time next week.... :'(

That stinks, wil. Use your phone!

There may be two "grand canyons," Kaz, but there is only one Grand Canyon.  :)

Hmm. I didn't think of that. Of course, my phone's camera is absolutely terrible, but oh well. Any picture of the Grand Canyon is better than none, eh? And speaking of that, I'm going tomorrow.

Also, we went to this place called Devil's Bridge yesterday. It's a bit of a hike there. Not much, only about a mile there and a mile back, with a 400 foot elevation gain. Well. We parked in the wrong spot, and started at the wrong trailhead. We ended up getting to the bridge (which is freaking awesome, by the way. Here's a picture of it), and it's not that the way we went lengthened the hike, because it was still only about 2 miles round trip, but...We climbed a LOT more than we should've. It was a lot more exerting than it was supposed to be. And I drank all my water...I was so thirsty. But oh well. It was worth it. Even if I got a slight case of vertigo when I was standing right in the middle of the bridge...

Not enough time to spend with the wife, who has been at Med School Orientation all week.

And we've either been at parties, going out, or having family over EVERY SINGLE NIGHT since we got married.

Ew, FileZilla. If ever there was an ugly duckling of an FTP app, that's it.

Grumpy because of a sore throat. Hope it doesn't turn into something worse.

Haha. Yeah, well, the price is right. :P

(And I've never used another one, so I really can't compare.)

Grumpiness: Went to apply for a bursary just now. Apparently, though, I don't qualify because I'm not up to my ears in student loans.

And here I thought I was doing the smart thing by trying to AVOID debt. Silly me.

Excuse me, I have to go conjure this year's tuition and expenses from thin air now.

::)

Well that's alright the bursar office wouldn't even talk to me until i went to orientation which because i had to reapply was the last one....and that lead to the eventual impossiblity of me getting subsidized loans do to my change in financial status (mom got laid off & dad's work is off) so i'm stuck with unsubsidized even though my brother received subsidized
