On a Mac to get an umlaut you type option-u and then the letter you want it over. On Windows there are a couple ways to do it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umlaut_(diacritic)#Keyboard_input
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

For my part, Shag, no I did not.  I use the US-International keyboard setup, so I typed " u to get ü.  However, I am familiar with the ANSI Alt+Numpad combinations (how I used to do it), so back in the day, I would have just typed ALT + 0252.

One the note of happiness:  I just found a facsimile of a French fechtbuch which covers longsword.  I didn't think such a thing existed.

I am going to Sherwood Forest today....I am ecstatic! Seriously. I love Robin Hood.....

And for lesser excitement (for me anyway), we're going to Stratford-upon-Avon later in the afternoon, and that'll be really fun too, escpecially since we're seeing a play put on by the Royal Shakespeare Company...As you like it. It should be awesome.

But I'm still more excited for Robin Hood....And I'm not ashamed about that...Well. Not really.

Yes, I believe it's the highest rank you can achieve within Boy Scouts.  Besides a bunch of merit badges, you have to do some sort of service project.  Most Eagle Scouts I know attained the rank during or right after their senior year of high school, but I don't know how typical that is.

Pretty typical. I'm a senior, and most of the people who got eagle that entered scouts with me got it their senior year.

:o That is impressive. I got life when I was fourteen, and I'm a month away from graduating high school.
