I actually had to try a couple of times before I could get it to show. The first time I saved it as an active award it didn't seem to take.

For those who don't know...

Free Proof Copy of Your Winning NaNoWriMo Manuscript in Book Form
CreateSpace, an Amazon.com Inc. owned company, is generously offering every NaNoWriMo 2008 winner a "free proof copy" of their 2008 manuscript. What this means: A free proof copy of your manuscript in paperback book form---just by following the instructions below. They'll even cover the costs of basic shipping to you.

To redeem the offer, you'll need a special NaNoWriMo winner's promo code. To get your promo code, you must be an official NaNoWriMo 2008 winner, and be signed into the NaNoWriMo site. Once you are, your unique promo code will be displayed at the bottom of this paragraph. Note that this code will not be used in the "referral code" box when setting up a CreateSpace account, but will instead be used after you've uploaded your manuscript and are actually ordering your proof copy.

Coool! :o

That is pretty neat. Wondering how they'd like my ninety-thousand-and-counting word MS though. ::)

I think they're expecting that.  I mean, you do have until June to get everything done.  I plan on submitting mine (which at min I'm hoping will be around 150k)
"The custom of royalty in referring to oneself is to naturally employ the royal 'we'.  We are very happy, we are very sad, we are bored and suffer from ennui.  For a royal prince there's no such word as 'me', It's always 'we'.  So rightfully I should be two or three, don't you agree?"

Whoa, really? That's awesome, then.

And yeah, I'm expecting mine to be at least that long. I thought I was going to end up around 120k when I was done, but between the 40,000 words I had before and my crazy, crazy NaNo I'm already at about 91,000. And this story has more than another 30k words in it, I think.

I'm the same way.  I thought that I'd have 50 maybe 60k, but nope, it'll be at least 100k before I'm done.  But I want to see that book on my shelf, staring at me, watching, motivating me. :'(

*Not a NaNoWriMo writer but....*

So are you actually going to do it, Raethe? The 27/30k in a day?

View your profile and where it says view awards click on it, then select your award.

I got it to work. Thank you!
If I had any clue, would I be here?

Congrats to all of the other winners.  Raethe, I thought you were joking when you said this late on November 29th:

That doesn't mean I'm not still writing. Only 27695 words to go!

Amazing!  I thought I was doing pretty good with a 6K output one day!  Oh, and thanks for the reminder, Necrobells.  I am looking forward to having a proof copy of my NaNo novel, even if most of the contents are crap. :)

Haha. To be entirely honest, I thought I was joking too. It never occured to me that I would actually make it. But came a point when I just decided I was going to keep trying if it bloody well killed me. (Which it just about did. In case you're wondering - totally worth it.)

Hayley: Yes, yes, I am.

I was actually going to try for it tomorrow, but I just remembered I have a swing band meeting that day and a concert to go to that night. It'll have to come sometime next week :P

What instrument do you play?  Or are you just going to the concert?

Just going to the concert, but in the swing band I mentioned, I play trombone mostly. Have a couple of vocal numbers too.
