I'm leaning toward a Mac right now anyway. It'll mostly be for internet access and wordprocessing.

Anyway, I've got to get to bed too. TLE tomorrow morning and I'm leading an editing group. Yee-haw.

G'night.

How was D&D?

Yay!  People are here!  I was convinced I'd be left to my writing alone.

Some demon tried to recruit us into his army, but 42's character started babbling and so the guy just walked away all confused.  Then we hired out another demon for a travelling guide and got into a brawl with some devils, then claimed a bounty on their heads and got another demon guide to help us track down a dragon.  Yeah, that's about it. ;D

My wife and I were watching some Degrassi Jr High episodes, and then we watched the Shawshank Redemption...

I love that movie...

A demon guide, huh?  D&D sounds odd.

But then, last night my character dressed up in a mumu and glasses and went to church and sat there yelling, "I have cataracts," so I'm one to talk.

I've never seen the Shawshank Redemption.  I need to catch it on TV one of these days.

Well I should mention that our group had just traveled to the Abyss (home of the demons) and city we ended up at was near an impressive battle against an army of devils (in DnD, demons and devils hate each other nearly as much as they hate celestials/angels).

Interesting.  So are the demons evil?  Or the devils? Or both?

Both are evil.  There is the Lower Planes where all the supernatural bad guys live, ie fiends; and the Upper Planes where all the good guys live, ie angels (although there's lots of different groups of them with different names).

So the Lower Planes are split into several different places, inlcuding the Abyss, Hades, and Hell.  Demons live in the Abyss, and devils in Hell.  Demons follow the chaotic forces of the universe, and would generally rip out your throat.  Devils follow the lawful forces of the universe and are the sort who would make bargins with you, ie sell your soul or something like that.
