I write YA.  I used to do (attempt) high fantasy, but I found that I suck at worldbuilding.  My specialty is character and dialogue.  The novel I have finished is your basic fantasy world, medieval society and all that, and it's hanging out in some slush pile at Front Street Books right now.  This semester I'm trying to finish a contemporary YA book, about a girl who's friend kills herself, etc. and a low fantasy book about a girl who hears the truth when people talk to her--the story is a fantasy/romance/murder mystery.  

I don't think I'm good enough to go anywhere with it, but I want to so badly that I've decided I'm entitled to chase the dream, even if I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of accomplishing it.  I mean, at least then I won't look back and say, what if?

Besides, everytime I stop writing I have a depressive episode.  That ought to tell me something.

Yeah, I would guess so.  

It's hard though, because we live in the Bay Area--so cost of living is ridiculous, and financial aid doesn't take that into account.

Yeah, but why would he drop her from his taxes if he's still paying for her life?  My sister has no income.  



And I'm still not catching the review thing.  I don't know anything about anything.  How would I write a review?

The story I'm working on atm is mostly a romance.  Just the other day I finally got one of main ending scenes pegged down.  So now I just got to get the romance part right and I should be able to fly through the rest.
