The more I ask people, the more I seem to think I somehow imagined watching this show.  Did anyone else ever watch it?

I remember when I was younger I saw this show one time at my Grandmother's, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever.  I didn't have cable or satellite at the time, and it wasn't on local channels around here, so I promptly never saw it again.  Or maybe a few times again.

I firmly believe that if I were to see it now, though, it'd be something like me watching the Power Rangers Movie (which my girlfriend made me sit down and watch a few weeks ago):  entertaining when I'm eight, boring when I'm twenty.

In fact, the Power Rangers movie and Pirates of Dark Water had more similarities than that.  They both had flying monkey(s), too.  Maybe they both bashed the Brady Bunch reunion--I'm not really sure.

As I remember it, Pirates was actually a decent show by any standards.  The only thing that made me sad was that they canceled it when there were only about 5 episodes left.

However, Power Rangers was a very dumb show, although it seems to be really popular in Japan these days. ha ha

I loved this show. The bad guys totally freaked me out. Ah, good memories.
If I had any clue, would I be here?

I remember watching Pirates of Dark Water. I liked it, mainly because it had pirates in it I think ;) That aside though, I like cartoons, and this was one of my favorites at the time.

I attempted to reference this show not to long ago in a conversation with some friends who grew up in the same area I did, and they all looked at me like I was nuts. It's nice to see that im not alone.

Oh wow, I vaguely remember this show. And by vaguely I think I was only 6 years old when it first premiered.   ;D

All I can really remember about it was that some of the voices were done by the people who did some of the voices for the Transformers. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker, I think.
