Minus the snakes and the hazy memory, sounds like a good night.

I do karaoke.... friends egg me on to do it.... and then send me to the bar afterwards.....

Maybe they're traumatised by that point? o.o

Karaoke is always good because it's all in good fun. Especially if someone can't sing well.  ;)

The song in question was "Tears" by a Japanese group called X-Japan. It's half in English and half in Japanese. So sue me, I cheated a little with picking a half English song.  :P

The first couple times I mooched the Habu Sake from my friend who had a bottle (well, less like mooching and more like sharing the bottle). I purchased a few Habu Sake shots over a two year period. Not that much though.

I dunno, when it comes to the people who REALLY can't sing well, I somehow always find I'm not quite drunk enough to enjoy it properly. Astounding thing.

Haha, can't say I've heard of it. Not really up on Japanese music... only asked because I thought it might be a case of "I heard it from a video game first", which is the only way I would ever end up singing Japanese karaoke in a bar.

I found myself singing quite a few video game songs when I was over there. Thankfully they had a lot of them in English.  :D

Although I did try to take a stab at Memories of Life in Japanese.

Haha.  Better you than me. I think the only Japanese song I can remember these days,  from a video game or elsewhere, is Suteki Da Ne from FFX.

I might not even remember that one, come to think of it.

Taking a stab at it, eh? How did that Memories of Life work out for ya?
