These Stupid Titles VI

Whenever I tend to find myself in a potentially painful situation, my first priority is my glasses for some reason. I know, weird.

Ya know, that's actually exactly what happened too. They slipped off after I hit, and I grabbed them, and THEN I grabbed my face....Actually, the same thing happened when I got hit really hard in the face with a volleyball last year...Everyone was asking me if I was okay, and the only thing I could say was "Where are my glasses?"

Seriously though, this thread has exploded tonight/last night. (it's the next day for me)

For me, the glasses are so important, because one--it's my favorite pair so far, and two--I bought them myself...and they were not cheap.....and my vision is horrible and I wouldn't be able to do anything without them...

And it really did explode. It was so much fun, though....I don't know how fast we were posting, but it was pretty fast....it was almost hard to keep up at times and then it would slow down a bit....it was hilarious. I love reading back on it...

I think one of the reasons I was so adamant on saving my glasses was because when I was stationed in Japan, if I broke my only pair, I'd have to wear standard issue BCG's for a month or two until a new pair came. /shudder

Yeah, that wouldn't be fun.....but being in Japan would be. My dad went to Japan. He's got some cool stories from there....

And now that I think about it, subconsciously, I think I go for my glasses because I can tell there's a difference in what I can see, and I want to see better...my vision is terrible...But I don't know...Maybe it's because I also don't want to fall back on some of my older pairs. Talk about huge lenses...

Yeah, my vision is horrible without my glasses. I wouldn't last long.

Actually, I think the lack of glasses is what led me to become Wounded as a Fencing Student in the first place.

That would explain a lot....I wonder if it's the having the glasses that made me enlightened....Hmm. They do say people with glasses seem more intelligent...

Maybe you're not wearing the right pair...haven't you ever seen the special "enlightening" pair at the optical store?

Perhaps they're just so dirty from being in the gutter?

Perhaps. Which would be why I've never seen the pair Wilson talks about, either.

Maybe since you're a beggar now, you should get those cleaned...Just make sure you don't smear those fleas on them in the process....

That's what I'm worried about. The last thing I want is fleas in my eyes!

Knowing all too well the importance of clean glasses, I would not mind giving your glasses a good scrubbing.
