I'd just like to point out that wench originally meant "women".  However, it was usually used to call the bar maids over ("Wench!  Get me another!  Wench!  I want food") so over time it came to simply be applied to the bar maids, some of which were willing to serve in any way.

And if I might join the fight, since I'm soup kitchen owner, I obviously have some cullinary skills, so I can make those pies for you.

I know it isn't the usual fair, but all ya'll hard workin' fighters ought sit down for a nice meal.  And 'cause we all poor folk, I couldn't get any turkey (I blame the hunters that couldn't find the bird, or so they claim) but I do have soup, and I've even made a special, poo free pie.  Just don't ask what type of fruit 'tis.
