Sword for hire........Is that like renting the sword?  Can anyone rent it?  It would be funny if Chaos rented your sword from you then killed you with it.  I love irony, and pie.  Honestly, though, I think Chaos would much rather kill you with a giant wall of text than a sword any day.   :P :P :P

HAHAHA!

I would distract you with the text--because that's the fun part--and then backstab you. I'm practical that way.

Brandon has a joke based on something like this in Way of Kings Prime. I was searching through it the other night trying to identify the scene he read from at those readings, but couldn't find it. I did get reminded that there are plenty of cool scenes in the book though.

That's great for me.  Being crooked, I don't think I could hold one strait!

It's ok to be strange, as long as it's on paper. :)

Thankfully my rapier is easier to handle than a big clunky broadsword. Probably safer too. Then again, I'm just a student at the moment, hopefully that will soon change.  8)

I wouldn't want to see a rapier/broadsword fight. I think it would get messy really quick.

Yeah, whomever had the rapier better be damn quick.  I'm sorry to tell you Cthulhu, I see a grievous injury in your future, followed by a time of reflection as you admire your healed wound until you are suddenly eager to assist some Lord who makes you polish his sword every day.  ;)

What exactly is an "Embattled" page? Is the Page having an inner turmoil? or is the Page actually fighting with someone? Or is there a war somewhere and the Page is just kind of stuck in the middle hoping that no one notices their presence :D ?

Good question about the Embattled Paige, if it does indeed mean he is in a fight I hope he knows that I would be willing to assist.

Also Cthulhu, I know my title is Sword for Hire but that doesn't specify the type of sword. I mean I'm sure I would be allowed to pick my weapon and style. Think on that and then think about the battle potential. I mean there are plenty of swords out there that can be wielded with speed and efficiency against a rapier/flamberge. I would assume that is one of the reasons why those sword types were never used extensively in large battles. They were used primarily for duels and invented for self defense.

Valid point. Hey Cthulhu maybe we can spar some time. You know to keep us sharp in case of an attack.

Duels in the Cathedral hall to keep in shape, cannons and warnings systems in the bell tower. And I propose using my "accoutrement" to make the catacombs a less friendly way to sneak in. What are we still missing?
