Hmm that's an interesting concept. Emoticons based off of what Path we have chosen. Maybe not even emoticons, but a little symbol to go on our profile or something.  :)

Silk, you're a very bad man (since Silk is a man, this works....although since Raethe is female, maybe the 'man' should be changed to 'person'....hmm.)

What would be really interesting is if there was some way to change your path if you decide against it. Like if you are a Student of Deception, but feel like you deserve a second chance you can change to a Student of Honor or something like that.

Velvet would work....She's not nearly as bad as Silk is, though...

And I agree! I think Student of Light Magic was not a good choice for me...I just didn't want to show my evil side right of the bat....I should've gone with my first instinct--Student of Dark Magic...

Then everybody would, apparently, think I was a man. But a number of people seem to make that assumption about me anyway. >>;

The Belgariad by David Eddings. Silk's also in the sequel series, The Mallorean. Both have 5 books, but they're all a quick read. I like Eddings. He's a good author.

The first book in The Belgariad is Pawn of Prophecy...

And Silk's entrance in the series is classic. He's the awesomest rat-faced man in any books I've read...

Added to the to-read list as well. I started reading Pawn of Prophecy ages ago, but I just never got around to reading it. Think it's still in a box in the attic somewhere.

No problem....You might as well figure out why we're calling you this character...It's not as cool if just get it from the context (which I'm sure you know that he's a bad man, by what we've said...). It's much better if you read it and see WHY he's a bad man....And just how flipping cool he is (because he IS pretty sweet).

Once you finish the Belgariad and Mallorean check out Belgarath the sorcerer and Polgara the Sorceress great reads and quick.
