And just in case I needed any MORE good news about life, I just found out that the state of Utah is even MORE screwed up than I thought and I don't qualify for any unemployement.

Nope - I've been working since mid-april. They timeframe to use to find out what you qualify for is the first four of the last five fiscal quarters - so my "Base period" is from October 2003- september 2004.  NOTHING I've made in the last 5 months qualifies, so I didn't make enough money and I'm screwed.

see above.  I have to have earned a specific amount duriing my base period - which I did, but then there's something about my total wages having to have been 1.5 times higher than the last quarter they count... or something I barely understand.

So they sent me a nice letter teling me how I"ll be receiving $0 per week for the next x weeks.

I find it so ridiculous that all I'd have to do is get pregnant to qualify for all sorts of govt. programs....

Is it stupid that I love the idea of getting a job in downtown salt lake because I could take public transit every day?  Hmm, probably....

Ask Brenna how she's enjoying it.

Yes, but I wouldn't have to ride a bike.
I can walk two blocks west and catch the 801/802 or the 816 at night or the 811 to the TRAX

Yeah.  It takes her two hours on the bus and trax though.  That's the part that would drive me up the wall.  Half an hour to Orem for two years nearly killed me.

Fish, don't move to a real city then. I travel 45 each way and it's a SHORT commute.
