End of Summer Rifftrax party
« on: August 02, 2007, 08:39:30 PM »
Nessa and I were talking and decided that we need to have an end of summer RiffTrax Party.

We're looking at the last week of August because I know there are people that have a lot of things going on in the next few weeks, including EUOL's new book.  So what day of the week are you interested in?  We can't do this Friday the 31st because our gracious host is busy that night.

Also post what Movie you want to watch.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Chuck Norris is the reason Waldo is hiding.

I'm n a superhero mood, so I vote for Fantastic Four (Nelson and Murphy) or Daredevil (Nelson, Murphy, and Corbett).

I vote for Fantastic Four. Mark really hates Daredevil, and even though it's bad enough to make fun of, he's not sure that even if it's a rifftrax he'd want to see it again.

I've never seen Fantastic Four and would like to see it riffed. :)

So I was looking at the dates and August 28, 29, 30 and September 1 are all good for me. I would probably prefer the Thursday or Saturday, but I'm flexible.

I think we should outlaw thursday (many of us have D&D) and friday (many others have writing group). Looks like the best one left is Saturday, which would be my vote anyway.

And I actually kind of like FF, as far as that goes, but I think it would make an awesome rifftrax.

Independence Day was just released. I believe it is general consensus that we want to watch that one.

And we're pushing the date back a little to probably September 8th. Not sure exactly, though, I'll get back to you on a list of potential dates.

The Independence Day riff includes Nelson, Murphy, and Corbett, so it's bound to be awesome. I'm very excited.

So, um, is anyone planning on coming this Saturday? Other than Sprig, Tage, and Fell? Saturday works best for me, but I'm flexible.

Do we want to plan on a pot luck?

I and my passel of kids may be able to come.  This Saturday for sure?  7pm? earlier? later?

Pot luck seems safest.

If we do potluck, let's try for 6:30, that way we have time to eat/gab before we need to start the movie.

Wish I could come, but I am stuck 500+ miles away in Grad-School land.

I might be around Gen Conference weekend, if anything is going on.

I need someone to bring an MP3 player for the riff.

Sprig is bringing the movie? and the riff? Or am I buying the riff?

I will provide drinks and paper products. Everyone bring pot luck and your own main course if you think you need it (I, for one, have no trouble filling up on side dishes!). I will have ice cream on hand, as well as A&W for floats and some Peach Wonderfulness (yum!).
