NY Comic Con
« on: January 29, 2007, 12:02:15 AM »
So, is anyone around here planning to go to the NY CC in NYC this February? It's the 23-25 and I've already got myself and 3 friends going. Should be fun times, since I've gotten back into comics and have been keeping headway with a lot of different titles and whats been going on.

And for anyone who is interested, but can't go, anything you'd like me to accomplish for you? Like ask a question of someone if I see them, or get an autograph?

I am not going, but several other TOKYOPOP people will be there.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

Considering that NYCCC is on the other end of the country from most of us I don't think anyone is going this year, however, you might see EUOL there next year if Scholastic sends him.  They're probably going to send him to SDCC in 08 so they might hit both.

Also, if you happen to run into a Parallax Heroclix for Fell I'm sure he'll be more then willing to trade you one, if not two, of his kids for it.  Though I guess the big thing this year is Fin-Fang-Foom from Marvel.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Ummm... It's a Zen Vision: M. And yes, I will now that you remind me. And remind me a few days/hours before I go.

I'd like to go. Can't, of course. But Feb. 23 is my birthday!

So, one more deluded week of torturous work and painful labor to endure until NYCC!

I am getting pumped! I am getting 12 gigs of free space on my Zen to record audio!

Alright, tomorrow morn, bright and early, I'll be heading out to NYC. You should wish me some luck as I try not to be devoured by the City. SE reminded me to bring love, so I'm packing plenty of that.

Also, I should be able to get a report back to the TWG hopefully in the next week. I am going to be in the process of moving, so it might not be here until the week after I'm settled in.

Have fun, though with the job of moving looming you'll probably not want the weekend to end.

yeah, this is definately going to be a massively insane week. Starting tomorrow, I will be getting little sleep. So you might want me to actually hold off until I catch up on reality by the time this is all said and done.

Anywho, let's go Comic Con!

Amy Reeder Hadley from my BYU Korean classes will be there--she's the artist/writer of Fool's Gold for TOKYOPOP. If you see her, introduce yourself.

I also told him to bring an alpaca. But he hasn't agreed to do that.

Well, I've returned from NYC and the comic con, however, I am in the process of cleaning up the house, packing, and getting ready to move, so hopefully sometime during the week I'll have time to lather down an article about it. Otherwise, expect something next week or so.

Mmmmm, no. No, not at all. In fact, there was actually a surprising amount of cute (read: hot) girls around, some even dressed up very cutely. I mean, there were a few girls dressed up as Zatana, and that is all kinds of fish-net, top-hat wearing hotness.

But there was also some excited Dan Didio (editor of DC) and Joe Quesada (editor of Marvel) in their panels. But I definately know which of the big two I'd rather write for. And that's no joke.
