Inquisitor, CSI Style (eek!)
« on: January 08, 2007, 02:09:19 AM »
Yeah, so I was watching this episode of CSI: NY. A serial killer is offing people in really creepy ways, leaving cryptic messages in these trendy T-shirts left at the scene. After seeing one particular victim with RR spikes through his eye sockets, I can see why the HB of Mistborn *didn't* have an Inquisitor on it.... *shudder* Here's an Inquisitor, CSI Style. warning: not a pretty sight!

Yes, I have always seen them as being quite gruesome to behold.    Though I imagine the Steel Inquisitors have been wiped clean of blood.  Though, clean or not I don't think I would want to face them down unless I were a full Mistborn and not a Misting and even then. *shudders* I cannot imagine even with the magic it takes to create them that it would be without blood. *shudders again*  A twisted form of Feruchemistry?  I know Brandon is not going to agree lest he give away their origins.  But they are long enough to  pin the guy to the tree makes you wonder how they survive the process.

I saw that episode and thought the same thing--while trying, and failing, to look away.

Yeah. Gruesomely fascinating. And yet after the first shock wore off, I just started laughing. Couldn't help it. I mean, who knew that EUOL is as twisted as the CSI folks?

Hey, I gave ya fair warning. And anyway, as the ninja monkey cartel boss, you are rather squeamish, aren't you? ;)

i didn't say it made me ill or I couldn't watch it. I just said it was gross. Which it is. I can stand the site of a martial arts-trained primate ripping the still beating heart out of a man's chest, that doesn't mean I go out of my way to see it.

Maybe the writer of that episode read Mistborn and thought, hey, that's cool!

But, but... aren't you evil types supposed to relish destruction of all sorts? Alas, I fear you have shattered my conception of evil geniuses!

Shucks. And I thought villains were *fun*!

(sigh) Ah, well. Laughing about you is rather fun in and of itself.

You won't be laughing after the dreaded face monkeys punish you for taking lunch after I distinctly told you *not* to.

That's pretty close to the way I envisioned the Inquisitors.  It's still a bit grusome though.  Wish I'd seen that episode.
