Life on Mars?
« on: December 07, 2006, 02:12:27 PM »
Maybe, actually

NPR reported this morning on an article appearing in Science that a canal on Mars is suspected to have deposits placed by flowing water -- within the last half-decade.

Discuss.

Here is an article on this.

Flowing water on mars is entirely possible but I think it is hard to come to a definite conclusion on something like this by simply looking at the pictures.

(there's an article link in my post too)

No one, as far as I know, is saying anything conclusive. They are careful to state this is only a possibility.

Life on Mars is one of Bowie's best, I totally love it and understand why Scientists do as well.

This cracks me up every time I see it.  Between the Bowie reference and the Heinlein response I'm laughing every time I think of this.

I think I've wanted to live on Mars since reading the Martian Chronicles when I was about 13.

As far as the Martian Chronicles go, why was that gun so cool?

I'm not sure. It might have been the bellows. Or maybe it was the killing mask that went along with it.
