I want pie.
« on: November 19, 2006, 03:22:13 PM »
Pie is nice. Not as nice as steak, but still pretty danged nice. The pies you get from supermarkets can be a little sub-par, but when you get a nice steaming pie with a nice flavourful pastry topping it's really quite ace.

And thus concludes our test-post.  ::)
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

This test post has coerced me to go up the stairs ten feet away, which is farther than I would normally move for anything, and get some pie.

Thank you.

Pie night cometh!

For those of you who don't remember my holiday traditions from year to year (Shame on you if this applies to you), Pie Night is held on the night before Thanksgiving. On pie night everyone brings a pie to the host's house and everyone just eats pie. This is so you don't have to waste time not eating turkey on Thanksgiving so you'll have room for pie. Or so that your stomach doesn't distend because you weren't moderate with the turkey and you *still* decide to eat some pie.

Every regular to the forum is invited. If you happen to be in NoVA on Wednesday, come to my place and eat pie. Even if you dont' have one to contribute.

Um, odd. I'm *sure* that last post was by E, but it says Spriggan.

Spriggan was cloned.

Given that one of them just lost his job, it's a little easier to know which is which.

[edit] While you guys are just talking about pie, I actually have one on my desk. One of the graphic designers walked up and gave me an entire pumpkin pie. I mean sure, I bought it from him last week for a fundraiser, but still--any day that starts with someone handing you a pie is a good day.

Ahh. So simple, and yet, not.

No, it truely was simple. You just had no mind to figure that indeed, you aren't mindful of your mind. Very Elizabethan.

Or maybe I was simply unframiliar with the term, since I have never heard it before.

I had heard no use of it before this either. However, my skills of deduction must outpace your own by leaps and bounds. That my friends, is wit.

Yet again I must object; It may simply be that my powers of deduction are focused on more practical things, like deducing the plot of a book, or knowing where a ninja monkey will strike next.
