A counterpoint to Grumpy things.

I'm happy because I spent most of my work time today fixing the laptop of a cute norweigan.

I'm happy because I finished everything I need to get my teaching certificate and now all I have to do is sit back and wait for it to come.

I'm happy because I feel really geeky (in a good way) that I'm finding all kinds of ways to get around problems with making mp3 backups of my own CDs. (for example, Jimmy Eat World had a protection that was easily gotten around by pretending I was copying it with Roxio CD: when they copy a music CD and have to temporarily store it on the hard drive they're stored as WAV files, which I copied to another location and then converted to mp3; or with my Matthew Sweet CD that had a scratch, again Roxio came to my rescue by being able to COPY a file that no ripper was getting without lots of errors).

Also I'm happy because my plan is working.

I'm happy cause my ferret loves me in a "you feed me, and take care of me, and if you die I'm going to eat you" kind of way.

I'm happy because someone on the forum owns a ferret. This made me happy in ways unfathomable to you, and only partially to me.

Thankyou, 42.

I'm happy because Fridays at work are pretty fun, it's slow and everyone gets rowdy and has a good time.  We had a party today for the launch of the newest version of our software, and then there was a lottery for us to participate in where we could take home old computers that the company can't use anymore. Not sure what I'm going to do with  Pentium II with 128MB of RAM yet, but I'm sure we'll think of something.

I'm currently (and mostly perpetually) happy because tomorrow (sat) I'll be going out photographing a little bit of the city for my photog class. Plus this one woman from work is going with, Erin, who is totally awesome. She's studying clay-work at Buff State. And she has an exhibit going up next week. So yeah. She's pretty kicking. Totally digging.

Well, not exactly. But I'm sure she'd try if you suggested it to her.

On an even happier note me and my friend have, on a friday night, constructed for my room, a fort. Not just any fort, but a fort of great geekdom and awesometacularness. I cannot begin to describe this thing... but there will be pictures soon.
