Misunderstand me. Hey, Miss! Understand me!
« on: June 13, 2005, 12:46:34 PM »
Be it on the internet, or in real life, the bits where you added a letter, left one out, or whatever, post it here for my amusement.

I saw two on my trip that really stood out.

One was a used car shop on Rt 20 south of Charlottesville (real out of the way). I kept thinking I was seeing "Hitler's Used Cars." I was wondering if it was a historic museum or something, but then I doubt Hitler had a late 50's model ford truck. Mr. Hiter probably gets that all the time.

The other was on a church marquee. Yesterday's lesson was on "Making Mulch of Jesus" on first glance. What kind of a religion WAS this?

Maybe I have mild dyslexia, but for some reason when I first got on the board I read the title of the thread "I am The Superfly crew that flaps in the night" as "I am The Superfly crew that craps in the night."

Which had me highly amused, until I realized that I was reading it wrong.

And I am left wondering, where does mild dyslexia tie into this?

I don't know what you'd call it that I put the "cr" sound from "crew" onto "flaps" so I got "craps." It seemed kind of reminiscient of dyslexia, where you mix letters up.

My mom showed me that before. It is so fascinating, because it is true. And I love that it proves its theory as you are reading it--very clever.

Of course the reason why that method works so well is all the 3-4 letter words don't change so about half the words aren't even jumbled to any extent.

And ya it's been posted before but quite a while ago.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!
