Just as an update from my side of the world, my husband just got a job in CA and we will be moving on the 6th and 7th (Thursday and Friday). This means that I will definately be at the meeting this week and will probably be a the meeting next week.

After that it sort of depends on how difficult it is to set up our phone line, reinstall the modem and install NetZero. The budget doesn't allow for cable/DSL, so I'll be languishing with Saint in dial-up h--l for the next few years.

We covered Peks 12, but didn't get to Norroway 4, as SE wasn't feeling well. Sorry, MoD, but we decided to cut it short. So next week we'll do Norroway 4 instead. And we're hoping for Peks 13, or a chapter or story from someone else.

Thanks stacer. I had the window open on the computer, so I knew.

I hope you feel better soon Saint.

If Peks 13 doesn't go through I have a story I wouldn't mind if someone had a look at sometime. it's kinda old, but I was looking at it again the other day and thought maybe it has some potential.

So do we just have my chapter 4 for this Wed., or will Jam or SE be sending something out ASAP?

i will not. I had sick kids after I got better and other issues that cropped up. I have made almost no progress on chapter 13.

I am still planning on being at the meeting on Wednesday.

My husband and I have completed Phase 1 of 4 of the Whiting exodus. Basically, our computers are in boxes and stacked amid other boxes in our relatives' garage. They will be packed into a Uhaul on Thursday.

Saint, do you use the free NetZero service or the $9.95? It looks like they are only allowing 10 hours/mo for free.

Gak.

I use the 9.95. No banner ads. No matter WHAT service of theirs you use you have their stupid nav bar that takes up space on your desktop, and that bugs me a lot. You can minimize it now, but it can still affect where your other windows are. Talk about invasive.

I will probably be switching to an offer USAA has. it's a buck cheaper and probably less invasive (and also might actually let me see what connection speed I've actually made)

USAA? Is that something that I could look into, or is being a cool Easterner a prerequiste?

I'm not paying for the frustration you've been experiencing with NetZero, so I'd like to be able to look at other options. This probably means that I'm stuck with whatever the local library provides. Or Earthlink at $20/mo, which I will wait until I'm desperate to consider.
