GLE,

A couple of things you should be aware of . . .
1. Welcome to the board! Please take the time to introduce yourself and read the FAQ. Or face the wrath of the newbie slapdown.
2. If you think this is bad, you probably won't fit in here. You may want to especially avoid irritating SuperE.
3. Spriggan is Brandon's brother. 'Nuff said.
4. Brandon is a real professional--he's always looking for constructive criticism. Feel free to tell him what you like and what you don't like about his writing.
Just make sure you post it in the proper place, or face the wrath of the newbie slapdown.

I stayed up 'til 3AM last night to finish which is something I haven't done in 20 years! Kudos to Mr Sanderson on his effort.
This could be one of the all-time great series, but I'll hold off judgement until it's finished.

Well I finished both Elantris and Mistborn last week and I must say that I fully enjoyed both. They easily are both on the top of my list for my favorite books read. Anywayz I love a lot of the same things mentioned already throughout this thread.
1) The characters were original and seemed real and believable.

2) The environment and storyline were both awesome and kept the book in my hand.

3) And probably the most obvious and fan favorite of the book was the inventive magic system. Never before has my adrenaline actually pumped while reading an action sequence in all my times of reading.

I, like others I'm sure, would love to see this book be made into a movie. Mr. Sanderson...I give you kudos for this awesome book. I've read the thread a bit before I posted and I was wondering if you could give me your brother's address...that way I can go and steal whatever copies he has of the unpublished books in the series that we all are waiting eagerly to read. I ask for his address because I would feel less guilty sneaking in at night, (mistcloak and all) and robbing him instead of you! Haha...you guys are a trip on here...enjoy!

Also another question is towards Sanderson's name on here...I'm guessing his pic is of a Scion from Elantris but what is his name about?

EUOL stands for "Evil Undead OverLord"

It's an old joke, that may one day become relevant again in TWG projects. YOu can learn more about it in the TWG FAQ. And since you're new here, please help us get to know you

Welcome, corrupted Terrisman. We can *always* use more corrupted stewards around. ;)

As for EUOL, he is our resident Evil Undead Overlord.

Edit: Oh, and don't mind Sprigg. He's got an overdeveloped sense of brotherly jealousy. So I wouldn't bother trying to suck up to him if you only wanna get on EUOL's good side... ;)
